What school did you character attend? If not Hogwarts, what House would they have been sorted into?: Hogwarts, former Gryffindor

Character Age: 64

What kind of wand does your character possess? 12 1/2 inch Walnut with a gryffin feather core.
Wood: Walnut Tree (Passion): Unrelenting, strange & full of contrasts, often egotistic, aggressive, noble, broad horizon, unexpected reactions, spontaneous, unlimited ambition, no flexibility, difficult & uncommon partner, not always liked but often admired, ingenious strategist, very jealous & passionate, no compromise.
Core: Griffin feathers are splendid magical cores, evocative of the strength, courage, and ferocity of the beast.

What department does your character work for, and in what position? He's an Auror.

Would you like your character to be a member of the Wizengamot? (BY MOD PERMISSION ONLY.) Sure! I mean he doesn't have to be, if if y'all need people, I'd be glad to volunteer him :)

Describe your character's strengths (both magically and personality-wise. Please note that Animagi and Metamorphmagi, etc. are extremely rare and you MUST have Mod Permission.): He is very gifted at Transfiguration. He studied and became a registered animagus some years after leaving school. He transforms into a white wolf, which has come in handy in his career as an Auror. He was adequately skilled in Potions and Charms to pass his NEWTs in those areas and go on to become an Auror after school. He is also skilled in DADA, having had lots of field experience with it as an Auror and member of the Order. Mac is very intelligent, although he doesn't have the patience to study things that aren't of use or interest to him. He also has fairly quick reflexes, born of a lifetime playing Muggle sports and playing quidditch during his time at Hogwarts.

Describe your character's flaws/weaknesses: Mac doesn't have a lot of patience and he has a bit of a short attention span for things he doesn't care about. He didn't do very well in Care of Magical Creatures, Astronomy, or History of Magic. Magically, his weakest areas are Charms and Potions. He does well enough with more basic Charms and Potions, just managing to scrape by with an E to get to the NEWT level, but he didn't do so well on the NEWTs, just barely earning himself a passing mark on those. He is impatient and intolerant of those he doesn't deem worth his time. Tact is not something he is well acquainted with, preferring to more bluntly get his point across.

Describe your character's physical attributes. If you have a preferred PB, state it here -- although check the list (http://www.livejournal.com/community/hihnp_ooc/121506.html) first!: Tall and handsome for an older man. PB is Sean Connery, yo.

Is your character Muggle born, a half-blood, or a pureblood? Explain it. Muggleborn. Unaware that magic existed before he got his letter.

Character Background/History: Arthur achieved 7 NEWTs. After his exam results came back, he enrolled in Auror training. After several years of hard training, he became a full Auror with the Ministry and when the war with Voldemort started up, he joined the Order, doing everything he could to defeat the threat. He has trained several younger Aurors during his time with the Ministry and really enjoys mentoring t the "new generation". He never married, being far too busy with the war effort and his career to entertain notions of serious relationships.

His nickname is Mac. It's what most everyone who knows him calls him. He had a normal Muggle childhood and didn't even know magic existed until he received his letter. He was fascinated by the magical world and very much enjoyed his time at Hogwarts. As a muggleborn, he has had a vested interest in defeating Voldemort. He decided in his fourth year that he would like to be an Auror and worked very hard to accomplish this, joining the Order as soon as he learned of it's existence. He's taken down his fair share of DEs and served as a mentor to quite a few younger Auror's in his time with the Ministry.
